Tasty Butternut and Apple Smash

To create this tasty and wholesome smash for your little one, you will need:

  • 1 Cup (250 ml) of butternut, peeled and cubed
  • 1 Cup (250 ml) of red apples, peeled and cubed
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Oven tray
  • Food processor


  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and grease an oven tray.
  2. Pop the butternut and apple onto the tray and place it into the oven until soft and cooked through.
  3. Once the apple and butternut has cooked, let it cool for five minutes.
  4. Place the apple and butternut into the food processor, add the pinch of cinnamon and blend until smooth.
  5. Let it cool before serving to your little one.

Moreish Green Bean Puree

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 Cup (250 ml) of clean green beans
  • 1 Cup (250 ml) of sweet potato, peeled and diced
  • Pot
  • Oven tray
  • Food processor


  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and grease the oven tray.
  2. Fill a pot up with 250 ml of water and add the beans.
  3. Once the oven is hot, pop the sweet potato onto the tray and into the oven and let it cook until soft.
  4. Remove the beans and potatoes when cooked and let them cool down.
  5. Place both in a food processor and blend until smooth.

Berry Blast

Colourful and rich in vitamins, this berry puree is ideal for growing bodies. You will need:

  • 1 Cup (250 ml) of blueberries, washed
  • 1 Cup (250 ml) of banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 dash of vanilla essence
  • Food processor


  1. Place the blueberries and the banana into the food processor.
  2. Blend and add the dash of vanilla essence, blend until smooth and creamy.

It is important to remember that, in order to ensure that you're not spending every single day preparing baby food, you can simply freeze the puree in ice moulds and pop them out when you need to prepare a portion of food.
